Who we are
At The Land is a family business—Dave, Connie, Chris, and Corey—who set up shop in the piney woods of Amite, Louisiana, trading fast-paced careers for the satisfaction of hands-on work and the comforts of nature.
We’ve always been the do-it-yourself kind. We cleared our land ourselves, built our home (with a little contractor help), put up our sheds and outbuildings, and even built a gazebo on the pond. Eventually, we realized—we weren’t just building for ourselves anymore. We were building a business.
What started with a CNC machine and a laser engraver turned into something bigger: a family-run woodworking and carpentry business offering new construction, remodeling, custom pieces, and home updates. Whether it's a kitchen addition or a one-of-a-kind built-in, we bring care, creativity, and craftsmanship to every job.
